Once in a lifetime Banner Blast Valentine's day card

Happy Valentine’s Day, stampers! I wanted to share with you this card that I made a few weeks ago for the Sale-A-Bration open house that I hosted. I call this the “Once in a Lifetime Banner Blast Valentine’s Day Card!” Yeah, that’s a mouthful. But this card is really simple to make!

Supply list for Once in a Lifetime Banner Blast Valentine’s Day Card:

  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Real Red Cardstock
  • Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
  • Basic Pearls Jewel Accents
  • Pretty Print Embossing Folder (Retired. Alternative: Honeycomb Embossing Folder)
  • Big Shot (or Texture Boutique)
  • Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details
  • 2-Way Glue Pen
  • SNAIL Adhesive
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

This is a pretty simple card so I’m going to keep the instructions shorter than normal. Basically, you’ll stamp six total banner images. I used the swirly stamp from Baroque Motifs, which is now retired, but you can use pretty much any stamp. The closest one in the current catalog is the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set. I used the coordinating Banner Punch to punch out each stamped banner. I also punched out six banners from a piece of Real Red cardstock. I glued them together using the 2-way glue pen, put a stampin dimensional on the back of them and set them aside. Next I used the Big Shot to add the texture to the larger piece of Whisper White cardstock. I used the Pretty Print embossing folder from the 2013 holiday catalog. The closest thing is probably the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, which is on sale this week!

I used the See Ya Later stamp set for the sentiment and filled in the heart with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. I matted each white piece of cardstock with some Real Red cardstock, leaving 1/8″ around each edge. The ribbon was wrapped before the matting of the larger piece of white. I also popped the sentiment off the page with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a little bling with some basic Pearl Jewels. All in all, I think this project took about 20 minutes to make and I love the way the swirl looks from the Baroque Motifs set!

Remember, the Banner Blast Stamp Set, Banner Punch and See Ya Later stamp sets are available for a limited time only! After March 31st they’re gone for good but with your order of $50 or more you can choose any product you like from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! The brochure is available in the main navigation menu and is located under “catalogs.”

Have a wonderful weekend, stampers!
