Crafting on the Plane

Hello friends! I hope that you’ve all been well these last couple of weeks. I’ve been on a mini-hiatus, taking care of my family and haven’t found much time for crafting. I’m sure you can relate! Over the past week I’ve dealt with one of the words colds we’ve had this year. I’m still recovering but feeling better every day. Today I’m in San Francisco for a marketing conference and I just thought I’d share a little something that I found time to create while traveling. Did you know that you can do a bit of paper crafting on the plane? You can even bring scissors with you if they’re under four inches in length.

Isn’t this card just super cute? I’ll let you in on a little secret. This is all from a kit that Stampin’ Up sends out monthly called Paper Pumpkin. Each month, the project is different and no one knows what it’ll be. It comes in a little box and includes everything you need to make the project! The box had plenty of room so I grabbed some doilies from my stash and also some extra inks and the stamps from the first months kit (which is always the same). I was also able to fit some Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Watercolor Washi Tape and other goodies in the box.

Since my flight was delayed, I had a little extra time for crafts right in the middle of the airport! Yeah, that happened! Here’s a congrats card from the same kit:

Oh my gosh, isn’t this so pretty!?! I embellished this card with the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape and a bit of Gold Bakers Twine. I also used the grunge stamp that comes with the starter paper pumpkin kit.

If you would like to sign up for Paper Pumpkin, now’s the best time to do it! Right now, through March 31st, you can get a free set of 5 Stampin’ Write Markers for free when you join Paper Pumpkin for the first time. You also get a Clear Block D in your first months kit that you can use every month when your new kit arrives!
