Elegant Butterfly Punch Card

Elegant Butterfly Punch Card

Hello stampers! Today is day two of “three days of thanks.” Check out this Elegant Butterfly Punch card! Isn’t this gorgeous! I wish I could take credit for the simple design but I can’t. This was designed by my upline Jennifer (though the rhinestones where my addition). Did you notice anything different about this card? (No stamping!) Okay, back on track. If you haven’t read my blog post about Handwritten Thank You cards and Why You Should be Sending Them, now’s a good time to check out that article. Today we’re going to explore creating this sans-stamps thank you card which is perfect for the beginning card maker!

So maybe you’re new to card making or stamping in general and are just starting out. If that’s the case, this card is probably for you! It’s a nice and simple card and doesn’t require many tools to make. What I love about this card is that it’s versatile and can be used for any occasion. And, since it doesn’t require stamps, it’s super easy for anyone to make!

Supplies Used for the Elegant Butterfly Punch Card

  • Pool Party or Marina Mist Cardstock
  • Island Indigo Cardstock
  • Night of Navy Cardstock
  • Elegant Butterfly Punch
  • Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents
  • Paper Piercing Tool
  • Stampin’ Pierce Mat
  • Essentials Paper Piercing Pack
  • SNAIL Adhesive
  • Glue Dots

Cut List for the Elegant Butterfly Punch Card

  • 4 1/4″ x 11″ Marina Mist Cardstock, scored at 5 1/2″
  • 3 1/4 x 5 1/2″ Island Indigo Cardstock
  • 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ Whisper White Cardstock
  • Scraps of Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Night of Navy Cardstock

How to make the Elegant Butterfly Punch Card

  • Take the sheet of Whisper White Cardstock and stick it on top of the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. Using the largest Apothecary Accents piercing guide mat from the Essentials pack and the Stampin’ Pierce Tool, poke the holes using the guide until you’ve gone all the way around the guide.
  • Layer the white piece on top of the Island Indigo piece using SNAIL Adhesive. Then center this on the card base using a little more SNAIL Adhesive.
  • Punch one butterfly in each color and add a glue dot to the center of each butterfly. Position each butterfly onto the card and press down to firmly adhere. Next, take a strip of four rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack and string them onto the center of the butterfly. Voila!
