Hello stampers! Today’s project is a simple butterfly valentine that you can make very quickly at home.
I made this gorgeous butterfly valentine using the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies (I just love these dies) and the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer Stamps. Quite honestly, one of the only reasons I bought those stamps were for the scatter stamps included in the set, which includes stars, hearts, two types of leaves, butterflies, flowers, snowflakes and ink splotches!
This card doesn’t require much to make and you can easily copy this at home! I used some Real Red cardstock and ink as the base. I cut it to 11″ x 4-1/4″ and scored it at the 5-1/2″ mark.
I used the hearts scatter stamp from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set to create the background, which was stamped in Real Red ink.
The chevron paper is from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack and was cut to 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and matted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock, which was cut to 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and trimmed with the Small Scallop Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Blade to give it a scalloped edge.
The butterfly was cut from a Gold Foil sheet with the largest butterfly die. Finally, all were stacked together to create this beautiful butterfly valentine.
I also put together a video about how to get perfect cuts with the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies every time so be sure to check that video out!
