Watch: How to use the Bow Builder Punch

November 2018 VIP Host Code: CQHEC9EJ

Have you been wondering exactly how to use the new Bow Builder Punch? Check out my newest video for tips on how to make bows. Be sure to watch the video to the end — there’s a quick little tip about how you can get some free patterned paper!

More projects made with the Bow Builder Punch:

Bow Builder Punch Eat Cake card

Here’s the card I put together in the video. This card features the new One Tag Fits All stamp set from the 2015 Occasions catalog. The frame was stamped in Coastal Cabana while the “Eat Cake” sentiment was colored in with Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral markers. The tag was cut with the Note Tag Punch, which was carried over from the 2014 Holiday catalog.

The bows were made with the Bow Builder Punch — I used the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper from the new Sale-A-Bration brochure. You can get this paper for free with your $50 order from my store!

The edges were pierced with the paper piercing tool using the essentials paper piercing pack.

Bow Builder Punch with lemons

Bow Builder Punch Love Life Lemons

Here’s another cute freebie you can get when you spend $50 in my online store! The stamped images are the lemon from the A Happy Thing stamp set. I used a masking technique to get three lemons on one sheet. I used the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities to create the stippled background. The paper is the new Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Bow Builder Punch with Balloons!

Bow Builder Punch Yay Balloons!

One of my favorite new stamp sets is the Balloon Bash set, which features very large sentiments (although I didn’t use them for this card) and three cute balloons. The coordinating specialty designer series paper is probably my favorite designer paper in at least a year. I just love how rich the colors are in this collection!

Bow Builder Punch with Butterfly Basics

Bow Builder Punch and Butterfly Basics Birthday

Here’s one outside of my color comfort zone! I used the Best Year Ever designer series paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure (another freebie!) in all of its Blushing Bride glory — I’m not a huge pink person but this color is growing on me! I like how simple this card is to put together but the bow made with the Bow Builder Punch really makes a statement!

Irresistibly Yours Bow

Sponged DSP and the Bow Builder Punch

There’s no shortage of awesome designer paper in both the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs! I used the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (another Sale-A-Bration freebie) to create the bow for this box. This paper is special — you can sponge, brayer, stamp, or spray the ink on this paper and the pattern on the paper will resist the ink! Use your favorite colors on this paper to make it your own.

Like to recycle? Use the wrap on your Occasions Catalog as DSP!

Unexpected DSP

Quite possibly my favorite use for the wrap on the front of the Occasions catalog is as free designer series paper! The yellow is a Crushed Curry color, the blue is Pool Party and the Green is something between Pear Pizzaz and Pistachio Pudding.
