Hello stampers! Today I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek into the new 2016 Occasions Catalog and 2016 Sale-A-Bration Brochure that were recently unveiled at Stampin’ Up’s new OnStage Local event. Above is the cover for the Occasions catalog and here’s the cover of the Sale-A-Bration brochure:
I’m super excited about quite a few product suites in the new catalog, but three product suites have really caught my eye and there’s a cute little birdie stamp in the Sale-A-Bration brochure that’s a must-have!!
Before we dive into the sneak peek, Stampin’ Up! released the 2015 Holiday Retiring Products list yesterday. Stamps are guaranteed to be in stock until December 28th but everything else is while supplies last. So if there’s something you have to have from the 2015 Holiday Catalog, be sure to order it before it’s gone! I’ll be updating the Retiring Products Page as items sell out, so be sure to bookmark that page to stay updated!
One of the sets that’s retiring is the Wonderland stamp set, which features three gorgeous pine trees. Here’s a card I recently made using this set and it’s coordinating products:
And here’s a close-up of that banner:
The snowflakes from the Wonderland set, and also the snowflake element, were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The trees were stamped with the new basic black archival ink. Other supplies used include the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack, Metallic Foil Doilies, Black Cardstock, White Cardstock, and the Wonderland Stamp Set (Wood Mount | Clear Mount).
Alright, alright. On to the sneak peek!
Here are my favorites from the 2016 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure, in order:
Have A Cuppa Suite
Now, I’m not a tea drinker but the moment I saw the little embellishments and framelits for this collection, it shot straight to the top of my must-have list! I mean, how could you not fall in love with these?
There’s even another stamp set called Timeless Textures in the Occasions catalog that features a grunge coffee ring stamp, which coordinates perfectly with this set!
During the OnStage Local event, I even won the A Nice Cuppa stamp set in the Prize Patrol! Here’s me and Tanya holding up our prizes!
Can’t tell you how excited I am about the pre-order period. I’m planning on those framelits for sure! Here’s a quick project I made using A Nice Cuppa and the now-retired Afternoon Picnic designer series paper.
Love Blossoms Suite
I am in love with the framelits die from this suite. I had the chance to play with it during OnStage Local and it’s gorgeous! Here’s the cutout I made using the framelits with a button for scale:
The dies also coordinate with the matching Bloomin’ Love stamp set:
You can also expect a gorgeous pack of matching paper and matching embellishments with this suite. There will also be Blushing Bride glimmer paper, which is so pretty! I ended up ordering all of this so expect some projects in the near future! My box should be here just in time for my birthday this Saturday!
Birthday Bouquet Suite
There are two birthday products suites in this catalog. We got to play with the first at OnStage Local (more on that in a bit) but the second, Birthday Blooms, is more my style. I love the paper in this suite and can’t wait to get my hands on it! I’m also really excited for the Honeycomb Embellishments and the Bow Paper Clips!
These are sure to be hot items since they coordinate with:
Honeycomb Happiness (Sale-A-Bration)
Oh, my word! Would you look at how cute this little bird is! The moment I saw this stamp, this set hit my must-have list as well! And you can earn this set for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with your $50 product purchase!
Hands-on at OnStage Local
During OnStage Local, Demonstrators got to play with four new product suites. One of them was the Bloomin’ Love stamps and heart thinlits (which you saw above). Here are the other product suites we got to play with:
It’s My Party Suite
It was a tough choice for me to decide what birthday stamp set I wanted from the catalog after playing with this product suite. Let me tell you, the photos in the catalog do not do the paper justice. It’s much more gorgeous in person. This suite features some new and fun birthay sentiments along with three small stamps which coordinate with the new Party Punch Pack!
Botanical Gardens Suite
I have to be honest here and say that this suite isn’t on my wishlist. I love the idea of these stamps but they’re just not quite my style. What I did like, from my time playing with the products, is that the paper coordinates with the stamps perfectly so you can stamp the details onto the paper! That is pretty cool! I also really like the matching embellishments from this suite.
Going Places Suite
This is such a cute stamp set! I absolutely love the big dipper constellation. You can’t see the whole thing from the image above but it’s super cute! All the other stamps in this set are great! It’s a perfect suite for a masculine card but versatile enough that it can be used for women as well. The designer series paper features some great textures!
Hands-On at Home
One of the perks of OnStage is that everyone goes home with a stamp set… or two… or three!
The gift for attending was the new Beautiful Ride stamp set, which is similar to the old Loads of Love stamp set but features a 1960s style Bug.
The all-attendees give-away at the end of the event was for the new Sunburst Sayings stamp set, which coordinates with our new Sunburst Thinlits die. I don’t have the die but I did manage to find some time to put together a couple of quick cards using the stamps from this set.
How can you get a copy of the catalog?
Request a catalog using this form and I’ll be sure to add you to my mailing list! I will finalize my catalog list by November 21st. If you request after that period, your catalogs may come a little later but I will get them to you! The catalogs will also be available for download or online viewing starting January 5, 2016 from my catalogs page.
