The new 2016-2018 In Colors are gorgeous!
Oh my goodness! The past week has been a whirlwind of excitement! I spent the last week in Salt Lake City getting an exclusive sneak peek at the new annual catalog and all I have to say is: wow! Wow, wow, WOW! There are so many great new products that I can’t wait to get my hands on! But I already have my hands on all five of the new 2016-2018 In Colors! I have to say that these are my favorite In Colors since joining Stampin’ Up almost 4 years ago (has it been 4 years already!?). I genuinely love every one of these colors, which is huge for me because theres always one or two colors that I just don’t dig. My assessment of the 2016-2018 In Colors is that Stampin’ Up has hit the ball out of the park! A game-winning home run!
Anyway, above is Flirty Flamingo, which is easily one of my favorites. This color is so gorgeous. If you’re wondering where it lays on the Stampin’ Up spectrum, it’d be somewhere between Watermelon Wonder and Strawberry Slush, which was a 2013-2015 In Color.
Up next is my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE new In Color, Peekaboo Peach! Now, I have to be brutally honest here. When I saw this color for the first time I did not like it. In fact, I thought it was the worst of the lot! Boy was I wrong! I was not convinced until I started using this color and all I have to say is that the photos don’t do it justice because they came out more orange than I would have liked. In person, this color is a soft orange (similar to the “Say Hello to Peekaboo Peach” text) and reminds me of a creamsicle. When put together, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach are the perfect summertime companions. They are simply gorgeous! Also, this orange is completely unlike anything Stampin’ Up has in their current catalog. I can’t even compare it to another color. It’s somewhere between So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. But, if I’m honest, that’s probably not even a good comparison. You won’t regret adding this color to your collection!
Next is Sweet Sugarplum. It pairs beautifully with Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo. This is also unlike any other color in the Stampin’ Up library. It resides somewhere between Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum but is definitely warmer than both of those colors (it leans to the red instead of to the blue).
Emerald Envy. Just, wow! I am super excited about this color because it’s a true emerald color and unlike any other green we have in our current color library. This color can’t even compare to our other greens because there’s more blue in this than yellow. It almost reminds me of a greener Bermuda Bay. And now, in my mind, I’m wanting to try that color combination!
Dapper Denim is a wonderful dark blue that sits somewhere between Night of Navy and Island Indigo. This blue would look wonderful paired with metallics. I paired it with gold above but I bet silver would be much more beautiful. I could easily see a cute Christmas card featuring snowflakes with this color.
Here’s a card I made featuring Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. I just love how these colors come together! This card features watercoloring, which is very popular right now!
I’m still sorting through about 1500 photos so expect more product sneak peeks this week!
Retiring Products List
Now that we’ve said hello, it’s time to say good-bye to some products that will be retiring, including the fabulous Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist colors. I’m super sad to say good-bye to these colors but most especially Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow. These two colors are so gorgeous and I’m sad to see them go!
If you haven’t yet stocked up on the 2014-2016 In Colors, now’s the time to order! The first things to sell out are usually the reinkers so be sure to pick those up before they’re gone! The next thing to go are the ink pads, markers and paper. Click on the images below to go to my store:
