Hi Stampers! I’m excited to share with you some sneak peeks of the upcoming 2017 Occasions catalog! This will be a 6-part series so be sure to book mark this blog (hit Ctrl+D on Windows or CMD+D on a mac). I’ll be posting these sneak peeks twice a week leading up to the Occasions catalog launch on January 4th! Check back tomorrow for the next post in the series, featuring our new watercolor pencils!
Cool Treats Suite
Naturally, I have to show you my favorite stamps from the catalog first! I have already purchased this set and it is awesome! I love the stamps. I love the coordinating framelits. I love the paper. I love the washi. And I love the sprinkles embellishments too!
Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper
Every pattern in this paper series is yummy! You’ll get 2 each of 5 double sided designs and 1 each of 2 single sided embossed designs!
The lovely thing about the embossed designs is you can sponge color over the paper and the ink will not penetrate the images where the embossing is.
These sequins are so gorgeous! And unlike any other sequins we currently carry! You’ll get a mix of medium Watermelon Wonder sequins, small Peekaboo Peach sequins, square Pool Party sequins and pearls! Oh, my word, the pearls! These sequins are great for embellishing card fronts with a little card jewelry. They’re also perfect for fun shaker cards!
Cool Treats Stamp Set
My number 1, had-to-have stamp set from the catalog is the new Cool Treats stamp set, which features two-step stamping! I love everything about this set! Coincidentally, my kids do too, ha! This set features 2 frozen pop treats with accent shapes to layer over the frozen pop base. It also features traditional ice cream and soft serve (my favorite)! Fun fact! In Vermont, where I grew up, soft serve is called a cree-mee. The best flavor? Black Raspberry. Yummy!
You will also get 7 mix & match greetings as well as shapes for sprinkles, a strawberry and a cherry! The only thing that could make this stamp set better would be coordinating framelits…
Frozen Treats Framelits Dies
Of course we have framelits for this! And, better yet, these framelits are slightly smaller than the stamped images, giving you a little wiggle room when two-step stamping your frozen treats! Another thing that’s great about that? Your die cut images will have ink that goes all the way to the edge! Yes!
Time out! Did you know that there’s a huge sale going on right now in my online store? Save up to 60% off retiring and holiday products before they’re gone! Also, today is the last day to order to guarantee your order arrives before Christmas! See what’s on sale!
Cool Treats Suite Project Samples
These products are super cute, right? By now I’m sure you’d love to see what you can make with the cool treats suite. Enjoy!
This gift card holder was made with the new Cool Treats stamp set, coordinating framelits, tasty treats paper and sprinkles embellishments.
Here’s a look at the inside of the gift card holder. I love the playfulness of these stamps! Beneath the gift card, you will see a coordinating envelope made from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board.
Remember that picture I showed you up above with the sponged cherries? Here’s a card made with that resisting technique.
Here’s a card created by Shannon West! This is probably my favorite card that was shown at the event and features some wonderful stamping. You can see the custom envelope from the sprinkles paper all the way on the right.
Next I want to show you a simple card and then a stepped-up version of the same card. The first card features the stamped greeting in place of the ice cream
The second card features a custom die cut image using the ice cream scoop from the framelits. To create this shape, you die cut the ice cream 3 times, overlapping the previous cut. In the end, you will use the negative image.
