Welcome back, Stampers! Today we’re on part 2 of a 6-part series featuring sneak peeks from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog. Be sure to bookmark this blog (hit Ctrl+D on Windows or CMD+D on a mac). I’ll be posting sneak peeks twice a week leading up to the Occasions catalog launch on January 4th. Review part 1 here. Today we’re looking at the Lift Me Up bundle, Dragonfly Dreams bundle and the new Watercolor Pencils!
Lift Me Up Bundle
Another bundle I just had to have is the new Lift Me Up bundle featuring these great stamps and coordinating framelits dies!
The dies in this collection feature shapes to layer behind the hot air balloon thinlit so you can layer in any paper of your choice! In the following card and coordinating gift bag, the new Carried Away Designer Series Paper, which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration with your qualifying order!
Here’s the same design as a gift bag, made with the gift bag punch board:
And some sad news, Watermelon Wonder is retiring at the end of May. Here’s a card Shannon West made to Watermelon Wonder for its retirement.
And the inside of the card has such a cute message!
It’s true, we are all going to dearly miss you, Watermelon Wonder!
Dragonfly Dreams Bundle
Do you love our Butterflies Thinlits and Bold Butterflies framelits dies? Then you’re sure to love the new Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies and coordinating stamp set Dragonfly Dreams! The mini dragonflies pictured here have been cut apart but come in a strip of 5.
Here’s another sneak peek of the new Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which goes perfectly with the bee from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.
Did you know that there’s a huge sale going on right now in my online store? Save up to 60% off retiring and holiday products before they’re gone! Also, today is the last day to order to guarantee your order arrives before Christmas! See what’s on sale!
You probably want to know a little more about those watercolor pencils, am I right? They come in a pack of 13 colors (Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White) and are truly fabulous!
You can color lightly for lighter color or heavily for a richer color and the colors blend perfectly each time. In the image below, they are spritzed with a stampin spritzer and some water. Other tools you can use to blend these are the Aqua Painters and blending pens. I do recommend the Aqua Painter over the blender pen if you are blending large areas. The blender pen works great for detailed areas (like cheeks).
Here’s the spritzed technique with the new Detailed Dragonflies Dies:
And a close up of that color:
