Hello stampers and Earning Alaska Blog Hoppers! Let me tell you about one of my favorite new products, the Mini Egg Cartons. This is one of my must-haves from the new 2017 Occasions Catalog. I have so many ideas for cute projects using these!
Mini Egg Cartons
These Mini Egg Cartons are seriously the best treat-packaging ever! They come in a natural recycled color but they’re so easy to color! Here’s what the Mini Egg Cartons look like when you pull them out of the package:
To color the Mini Egg Carton, all you have to do is add 10-ish drops of ink to a Stampin’ Spritzer, fill the rest of the way with water or rubbing alcohol and spray! You can add more or less ink depending upon the tone you’re going for. Here’s a Mini Egg Carton being colored Calypso Coral:
Every one of the Stampin’ Up colors is available in a re-inker so you can make the Mini Egg Cartons whatever color you like!
Mini Egg Carton Birthday Treat Box
This Mini Egg Carton has been colored with Daffodil Delight–much to my chagrin, I discovered that I don’t have a So Saffron reinker, which would have matched the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper perfectly. Not a problem though. If you need a paler color, simply add less ink to the Spritzer!
The top of the Mini Egg Carton was decorated with the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and coordinating Stitched Shapes Framelits, which I absolutely love! I also used one of the new Lace Doilies.
The tag was made with the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit. I stamped the greeting from the new Lift Me Up stamp set in Calypso Coral. The cupcake is also from the Lift Me Up stamp set. I stamped the frosting in Bermuda Bay and the cup cake liner in Soft Suede. Both were cut out with the new Up & Away Thinlits Dies, which coordinate beautifully with the Lift Me Up stamp set. The stamps and dies are available as a bundle with a 10% savings (links below). To finish the tag, I added Sprinkles Embellishments, which were adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
From this photo you can see that I used Burlap Ribbon along with the new 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon, which you can get for free during Sale-A-Bration with your $50+ order. This ribbon is so yummy! You’ll get two spools of ribbon. One is a white woven ribbon with silver accents and the other (pictured above) is a vanilla woven ribbon with gold accents. They’re both so very gorgeous!
Inside the Mini Egg Carton
You’ll have plenty of space to stuff some goodies into the Mini Egg Carton. I added some crumpled filler paper along with some Lindt truffles to my box but there’s definitely room to spare!
I hope you enjoyed this idea! If you would like to purchase the Mini Egg Cartons, use the product links near the end of this post! Thanks for stopping by!
