Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching. This year it falls on Sunday, May 14th.
Today’s blog post is brought to you by the Fun N Crafty Stampers Group. Thanks for joining us! This months theme is Mother’s Day.
This year, I’ll be sending my mother this gorgeous card. I have a small confession… it wasn’t made by me! Shh! Don’t tell mom!
This card was designed by the talented Loretta Mills. I received it as part of a swap I participated in a couple of weeks ago. I just had to share it with you because I love all the little things happening on this card!
The texture is just wonderful! Between the Timeless Textures stamp set (which are the flourishes in the background), the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (the speckles in the background) and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, this card has so much detail!
And can we talk about that background for a second? The flourishes, ink splatters and greeting were stamped on to the whisper white base with Early Espresso ink.
To achieve the brick embossed/weathered look, start by inking up the raised part of the Brick Wall Embossing Folder with a Crumb Cake ink pad. Insert the stamped panel into the folder then close and crank it through your Big Shot.

Great card! I’m glad you shared it because now I’m inspired to break out my brick wall embossing folder and ink it up!
Love all the details you were able to leave on a card you didn’t make. thanks
This is hands down a good ole standby stamp set for me! I love this card. It’s pretty and grungy simultaneously, which is wonderful! Thanks for hopping along this month!
