Today we’ll be looking at the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle and the Special Celebration stamp set, which has greetings for just about every special occasion you can think of!
Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle
This is definitely one of the cuter bundles in the new annual catalog! I love how different Pocketful of Sunshine is. It includes 20 photopolymer stamps, including a pocket stamp and some sunglasses. And, of course, there are dies to cut everything out, including a super cute pants pocket die!
You can create fun little cards, using the pockets stamp and matching die set, that slip right into the pockets!
Did you see all the new goodies on these cards? The dino and art paper is from the new Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper. The paper clip is the new Eclectic Shapes Paper Clips and don’t forget about the new Emerald Envy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. This ribbon is available in all 5 of the 2016-2018 In Colors.
And the pocket itself was die cut from some of the new Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. You’ll cut two pockets and remove the flaps from one of them. Then all you need to do is adhere them together.
Here’s a project featuring Pocketful of Sunshine from the catalog! This cute little gift card holder was made with the pocket dies and a few extra strips of paper.
The paper used here is from the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. To create the box, cut 2 pockets from the blue pattern and 2 strips of paper measuring 1″ x 7-1/2″. Score those strips at 2-1/4″, 3-3/4″ and 5-1/4″.
Adhere the strips to the pockets with the flaps from the pockets and you’ll get this cute box:
Another project that was shared is this super cute tri-fold card! The greeting, which is in French here but is also available in English, reads “You Dazzle Me.”
Open the card to reveal closed eyes made with the sun images from the stamp set!
Want to know more about how to make this? Use a 6″ x 6″ sheet of Color Theory Designer Series Paper, Cut it to 5-3/4″ x 5″ then score at 1-7/8″ from each edge, like the photo below:
The washi tape you see is from the new Pick a Pattern washi tape pack.
Special Celebrations Stamp Set
I love the stamps in this set! Not only are the greetings wonderful, but the fonts are really great too! In fact, the fonts featured in this stamp set coordinate with some of the stamp sets in our current lineup! The “Welcome baby” greeting coordinates with Pretty Kitty, Bella and Friends, Sitting Here and Moon Baby. The “For My Friend” and “Thanks for Being You” sentiments match the 2017 Sale-A-Bration stamp set Avant Garden and Banners For You.
The wonderful thing about this set is that it includes sentiments for both the outside and inside of the card!
And if you need help remembering which sentiments go together, make yourself this little reference card and slip it into the back of the stamp case!
Here are some cards made with the Special Celebrations stamp set. These cards also feature the new Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (psst! did you know that this paper coordinates with the new Birthday Friends Framelits dies? Read a little about it here.)
Here’s the same card but using the Racoon from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper.
And again with the squirrel.
And, of course, the tortoise.
And did you catch this little scalloped edge?
This is the new Decorative Ribbon Border punch! Just flip it upside down and, voila! Scalloped edge trim.
I love the inside of the card. Often times, I just stamp the sentiment plain onto the card base. I love how this card features the sentiment on a scrap of white, which as been adhered with some of the Daffodil Delight washi tape from Basic Packs 2 Washi Tape. To really tie it together, though, the present box from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper was added to the inside of the card.
Another card that was shared using the Special Celebrations stamp set was this gorgeous card made with the flower stamps from Blooms & Wishes. This card also features some of the new Shimmer ribbon in Powder Pink as well as a heart embellishment from the Hearts & Stars Elements. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out with the new Pretty Label punch.
And, of course, we need to talk about that texture! This was made with the new Layering Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Last, here’s the inside of the card.
