I am so excited! I’m back from OnStage and I am pumped about the new catalog and Sale-A-Bration offerings! If you love butterflies, this one’s for you! Stampin’ Up unveiled not only 1 but 2 new stamp sets featuring butterflies, the first is Beauty Abounds, which coordinates with the new butterfly beauty thinlits collection and the second is Butterfly Gala which corridinates with the new Butterfly Duet Punch. And it doesn’t stop there! Our Sale-A-Bration offerings this year include butterflies as well!
Beauty Abounds Stamp Set
The new beauty abounds is a 13 piece cling-mount stamp set that features sentiments perfect for friendships that are two part so you can stamp the first half of the greeting on the outside of the card and the second half on the inside of the card! The greetings are:
Our friendship isn’t one big thing
it’s a million little things
A friend is someone who chooses you…
…out of a whole world of people.
The set also includes “hello”, “thanks” and “for you” stamps so this set is great for just about every occasion.
Butterfly Gala Stamp Set
The next stamp set that was shown to us is the new Butterfly Gala stamp set! I love this set! At first glance it was my favorite next to the new horse, cat (which coordinates with cat punch!) and dog (new dog punch!!) stamps. I have to have all of these sets. I don’t have photos that I can share of the horses or the cats (trust me, both are gorgeous) but here is the new Happy Tails stamp set and coordinating dog punch (scaled up for detail).
Back to the butterflies! For those of you who miss the old butterfly punches, you’ll be happy to know that there is a new Butterfly Duet punch!
There are two butterflies on each stamp so both line up perfectly with the new Butterfly Duet Punch. (Photo taken a moment too soon to show you how they line up but you get the idea).
And if that’s not enough butterflies for you, check out this year’s Sale-A-Bration offerings!
2019 Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
How gorgeous is this paper! There are also patterns on the back side that you can color in, which are simply gorgeous. Would you like to see some card ideas using the Botanical Butterfly paper?
Here’s a card that features the new Butterfly Elements (also part of Sale-A-Bration this year).
These embellishments coordinate beautifully with the Butterfly Gala stamp set.
Here’s another card featuring both the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper and the Butterfly Elements. Sentiment is from the new Butterfly Gala stamp set.
What I love about the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper is that you can add a bit of coloring with the watercolor pencils and the images just pop right off the paper! Before coloring:
Card made by coloring some of the images on the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper:
Another great Sale-A-Bration offering this year is the Organdy Ribbon combo pack. You can get this for free with orders over $50! The ribbons come in wonderful spring colors: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist. You’ll get 5 yards of each color. That’s 25 yards total!
And here’s that ribbon again on a box:
A cute card made with the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch:
And I’d like to leave you with a fun technique to try! Shannon West shared with us a technique at OnStage that I’m loving! Create reflections or even sunsets with this gorgeous technique.
All you have to do is drag the ink pad over the paper! Here she is demonstrating creating a sunset. First some Poppy Parade:
And then some Mango Melody…
Add some new stamps from the Flowering Desert stamp set (another set on my must have list!) and you get this gorgeous card:
