November 2018 VIP Host Code: CQHEC9EJ
I’m home from OnStage Orlando and boy do I have some goodies to share with you! You may have already read about some of the changes happening with our stamps and you might have already gotten a sneak peek of what’s coming but let me show you five swaps I received at OnStage that use the Snowflake Showcase stamps & dies that are available this month only. I’ve got 2 ideas for you using the Happiness Surrounds stamp set and 3 ideas featuring the Snow is Glistening stamp set.
Have you seen these sets yet? There are two stamp sets, as I mentioned, that coordinate with the Snowfall Thinlits Dies, which are incredibly detailed. Stampin’ Up has also decided to offer some snowflake trinkets and white velvet paper. You can see all of the products at the bottom of this post.
All of the snowflake showcase products are available until November 30th or while supplies last.
Snowflake Showcase: Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set
This gorgeous set of 17 photopolymer stamps is great for everyday occasions!
The first card I want to show you is a swap I received from Mary Ellen Stites. Mary Ellen has used the Happiness Surrounds stamp set to create this fabulous card!
I just love that medallion in the background! Here’s another card featuring the Happiness Surrounds stamp set. This card was made by Darlene Boardman.
Snowflake Showcase: Snow is Glistening Stamp Set
And if you’re looking for something a little more festive, look no further than the Snow is Glistening stamp set! I absolutely love this stamp set. I’m a sucker for snowflakes so I had to have this set when I saw it.
Here’s an idea from Christine Szekeres. This appears to be a stencil made from the snowflake cut outs with the ink spritzed onto the card stock.
The next card I’d like to share with you is one made by an unknown stamper who I swapped with while at OnStage.
What I really love about this card is the detail on the snowflake embossing. To get this detail, you use the dies with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats. These mats work with all of our dies to create an embossed look by pressing the paper with the dies instead of cutting the paper. Curious to know more? Here’s a video showing you how they work. It’s really a stunning effect in person. This photo doesn’t do the card justice. Here’s a look at the card close up:
The last example I have for you today is this quick card that was designed by Nadine Valle.
